Units
The service, research and teaching missions of
a land-grant university are carried out at
Mississippi State through 18 departments or program
areas.
Special
and Allied
Units
Programs of the division are further organized
into specialized, often interdisciplinary, units.
Also, several regional, national and international
organizations' programs are administered on
the campus.
Location
of Division Units
The division has one or more units in each of Mississippi's 82 counties. Having
offices and personnel in every county is extremely postive for the people of
the state and for Mississippi State University.

As a land-grant university, Mississippi State
maintains a close working relationship with the
USDA.

agriculture department are housed on campus and
work closely with faculty and staff.
