Item: Meeting Rotations
Discussion: It
has been suggested that the deans/directors meeting be
rotated between the Bost Building, the Wise Center, Thompson

tours of facilities/programs might be appropriate. The
group was receptive to the idea and it will be implemented
in the near future.

Agenda
Item: Division Visibility Team
Discussion: Drs.
McGilberry and Knecht spoke about the possible formation
of such a team. There appears to be the need for more awareness
and visibility for programs, activities and achievements
related to the division. It was suggested that we put together
an action team to work with faculty and staff, stakeholders
and external groups to create additional awareness about
our programs and achievements. Some resources in Ag Communications
may need to be directed at this "public relations" effort.
While we are doing a good job in this area, some council
members suggested such a team would be beneficial.
Action: Membership
for the action team was suggested and deans/directors will
review and make additional suggestions.
Other:
- It
was reported that $3 million is included in the current
mark-up of the Senate Appropriations Bill for the for
a new Poultry Complex.
- It
was mentioned that the Promotion and Tenure process currently
underway, should include representation of off-campus
personnel on the discipline P&T committees as they
review off-campus faculty.
