Item: FY07 Budget Hearings
Discussion:
LBO budget hearings are scheduled for September 21,
2005. Dr. Watson's goal is to have a one page
brochure representing the entire division. This
will be in addition to the individual unit's one
page documents. Bob Ratliff presented the
preliminary proto type of the brochure.
Action:
Deans/Directors are to submit up to four bullets
representing impact of their units. Melissa Mixon
will work with Bob Ratliff to further develop the
brochure. The goal is to have the brochure complete
at least 2 weeks prior to the hearing.

Item: American Farm Bureau Federation &endash;
Call for poster papers
Discussion:
The American Farm Bureau Federation's national
convention is scheduled for January 8-9, 2006 at
the Opryland Convention Center in Nashville,
Tennessee. Jim Porterfield, Director of Special
Research Projects has extended a call for poster
papers. The deadline to submit applications is
September 15, 2005.
Action:
Deans/Directors are to distribute the information
to the faculty

Discussion:
Dr. Watson distributed copies of several recent
articles from the Clarion Ledger related to college
funding and higher education.
