Agenda Item: FY2007 Budgets
Discussion: Dr.
Watson led the discussion regarding the FY2007 budget. Current
information indicates funds to allow raises averaging 5%
will be available on July 1. Raises exceeding 7%, or are
below 3%, will require a letter of justification. We
expect to get specific instructions about the development
of the FY2007 budget within the next few weeks. Instructions
will be distributed to unit/department/center heads.

Agenda Item: FY2007 Capital Improvement, Repair & Renovation
and Preplanning Requests
Discussion: A copy of the division’s
top ten capital improvement, repair and renovation and preplanning
requests was distributed. The top property is the repair
and renovation of the Lloyd-Rick’s Building. We are
requesting $9.65 million from the state in addition to the
$2.85 million in HUD money that has been approved. It
appears that the renovation process at Lloyd-Rick’s
should begin by summer to early fall of 2007.
