Forest & Wildlife Research Center

FWRC includes a wide range of related disciplines and areas of research, including Sustainable Bioproducts, Carnivore Ecology and Management, and the Center for Resolving Human-Wildlife Conflicts.

Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station

Mississippi has unique regions of soil and climate. The Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station's 16 branch locations serve all regions of the state. Research addresses issues important and relevant to Mississippi farmers, industry, communities and families. MAFES discoveries improve plant, animal, and food production systems to enhance commodity production and conserve the environment for the benefit of all people.

The Extension Service has evolved into a vibrant organization equipping citizens for living in the 21st century. Mississippi State University Extension Service is also a cooperating partner with Alcorn State University, the 1890 land-grant institution in Mississippi.
