Addy Panzram

Clinical Admissions Assistant
Animal Health Center
Time in position/service to MSU: 3 years

Surrounded by Bulldogs growing up and now as part of the Bulldog family at Mississippi State University, Addy Panzram is often one of the first friendly faces visitors see at the Animal Health Center.

During her childhood, her mother raised English Bulldogs, and Panzram helped care for them—while, of course, playing with them too. That early connection sparked a lifelong love of animals and a path that would one day bring her to MSU, home of the Bulldogs.

She credits those early experiences with inspiring her to work at a veterinary clinic when she was younger. Though she later stepped away from animal care to become a swim coach, her love for animals never faded.

“The dog I had at the time would come to the pool with me and hang out while I coached. It was great,” Panzram said.

After 15 years, she retired from coaching and knew she wanted to return to what she loved most, helping animals. When she moved to the area and learned of an opening in Small Animal Admissions, she knew it was the perfect fit.

“I love animals and interacting with clients, so it is the perfect place for me,” Panzram said.

In her role, Panzram greets clients and their pets, checks them in for appointments, provides parking passes, communicates with veterinary students, and manages a variety of office tasks. The position also comes with a few fun perks, including visits from well-known patients such as Dak and Jak, along with MSU Police K-9s.

“When they come in for their wellness visits and are waiting to go to their exam room, I get some bulldog love,” Panzram said. “The police dogs come in regularly, and it’s always a joy to see them.”

From the Bulldogs she helped raise as a child to the Bulldog community she now serves each day, Panzram has come full circle—finding a place where her lifelong passion and her work come together. Whether it’s the Bulldogs she once helped raise or the Bulldog family that now surrounds her, Panzram feels right at home.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, and being with her family and pets.
